Free Full-Day Kindergarten starting in the 2019-20 school year.

What this means for Jeffco families
Kindergarten is currently not a requirement in Colorado.  However, research shows that starting students on their academic path in kindergarten (ages 5-6) promotes children's enthusiasm, initiative, persistence and engagement in learning, click the link for more information.

Starting in August 2019, all full-day kindergarten programs in Jeffco will be free.  For some families, this is a savings of almost $3000.00 a year.

Jeffco will continue to offer half-day kindergarten programs as well.  Call the school at Coal Creek Canyon K-8, 303-982-3409 to find out what program would best serve your needs.

1. Log into Jeffco Connect to establish an account if you are new to Jeffco or add your student to your already exiting account.
2. After updating information or creating an account go to EnrollJeffco to enroll in your neighborhood school or apply for a school of you choice.

Once you have completed these two steps the only thing left is to bring in a copy of your student's birth certificate, current immunization records, and proof of residency. As always if you have questions please contact our main office, 303-982-3409.
